Nikon or Canon (better camera)?

Which would be better, canon or nikon?

Nikon

Neither. The one that is right for you is the better camera. Nikon may have amazing Gizmos, but if you can't use nikon because it doesn't fit you right, then the amazing gizmo is no good for you is it?
They are the two leading cameras in the world. Both are awesome and make amazing cameras. The one that is better is the one that does what you want it to do in the way you need it to do the job.

They are both amazing brands. It really just depends on which you prefer-- the menus are set up differently, and you might prefer one to the other. Go into a store that has cameras and you can usually hold and try out a few. Compare them and see which one fits you best.

Canon, I believe.

Oh man… Nikon for their customer service alone, all tech proficiencies aside, they love their loyal customers and provide top notch systems that work so fluidly they become an extra appendage to their users. Enough said!

Neither is "better".
It is simply a matter of personal choice.
