Nikon dslr or dedicated video camera for creating video?
I have two Nikon DSLRs, but they have poor video capabilities. I want to shoot video, but I don't want to buy a Canon DSLR since it would require getting Canon accessories, so I want to stick with Nikon. But if there's a dedicated video camera that is inexpensive and whose captured images would be on the same level of a DSLR, I'd go for that since, I'm assuming it would be cheaper. What would be the best money-saving selection for me to shoot video?
The Nikon D7000 shoots full HD and has a nice sensor. You will be able to use your Nikon lenses too, hopefully.
D5100 offering D7000's quality at a lower price point. D7000 is high end, the D5100 for upper entry level. D5100 has an excellent flip-out screen and a broader selection of 1080p frame rates. You also get the new EFFECTS mode which can be applied to some movies as well as stills, along with an HDR option (High Dynamic Range) that can exposes picture in range background. Light and dark. And combine it.
I found a list of really good nikon dslr cameras. They have good video quality and wide range of prices. As you are price conscious you will like the bargains here:
