Nikon DSLR camera top display weak?
The top display on my Nikon camera is weakening. Some of the black parts do not appear when the camera is on. Any ideas?
Is it still under warranty?
I have never had that happen to any of my Nikon dSLR cameras and one was made in 2002
You can call Nikon and describe the problem and see what they have to say 800. NIKON-UX
DItto. I haven't seen this on any of my Nikon dSLRs. Nikon repair is the most reasonable place to deal with I've found, and they guarantee the repair work if its worth it. It will likely be no less than $100-150 though if not under warranty, quite possibly more/beyond the camera's value if the display is a complicated replacement.
I had them refurbish a dead shutter, though, and it was totally worth it.
Have it replaced. Bring the camera to the store you bought it from then ask for service.
