My Camera Won't Show Up In My Computer! What's wrong?

I got my Laptop cleaned and armed with New Anti-Virus software and now when I plug in my Nikon P90 to upload pictures, it doesn't show the camera icon below like it normally does!
My Camera has been hooked up for the last ten minutes and my laptop STILL won't recognize my camera!

What do I do?

You need to do what most of us have been doing for over a decade.

* Remove the memory card from your camera
* Insert it into the card reader on your computer
* Using your computer skills, copy all the images from your memory card to a new file folder named for the subject/location and date
* Once all your images are safely on your computer, remove the memory card and reinsert it into your camera and using the format feature on the camera, format the card.

Do this at the end of each shooting day

Use a USB card reader to connect the camera's memory card directly to the computer's USB slot then use Windows Explorer or (Mac) Finder to do the actual copying.
