Lenses that can fit on the Pentax k5 body?
And what manufacturer specializes in landscapes/wildlife photography?
last but not least, what lens manufacturer do you think is the best overall?
Thank you.
Added (1). ( I want a macro telephoto) at the least 400mm
The longest macro lens at present are the Nikon AF Micro-Nikkor 200mm f/4D IF-ED and Canon EF 180mm
f/3.5L Macro, neither can be used on your K5
Have you spent any time looking on the Pentax website?
The longest macro lens listed is the smcP D-FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro
None are as long as 400 mm.
Most landscape photographers use lenses that are wide angle zooms, like a 12-24 mm
Pentax does make a DA 15mm F4 ED AL
Most wildlife photographers use the following lenses. 300 mm f/2.8, 400 mm f/2.8 or 600 mm f/4 (if they own Nikon gear, the 200-400 mm f/4 comes into play)
Pentax makes a smc Pentax DA* 300mm f/4 ED (IF) SDM which is a stop slower than the Nikon and Canon 300 mm lenses
There's a smc Pentax-DA*60-250mmF4ED[IF] SDM zoom lens, but shorter than what you asked for.
You are going to have to spend some time on the Sigma and Tamron lens websites to see if they make telephoto lenses that are suitable for shooting wildlife.
NOTE: Any zoom lens that claims to be a macro lens are not. Macro lenses are by definition a flat field lens… Impossible to design in a zoom lens Those lenses are actually close up lenses, but can't resolve image to subject ratios of 1:1
