Can I use a Nikkor lense on a Pentax KX body?
Just what it sounds like - my dad has a collection of old Nikkor lenses that have no Image Stablization and I want to use them on a KX body because it has IBIS. Failing that could someone let me know what the cheapest Nikon camera that has IBIS is?
Yes you can but you will have to buy a lens mount adapter because the Nikon cameras have a different lens mount than pentax. If you use an adapter, you will not be able to use features, ike autofocus on the lens, but if it is an old lens it shouldnt matter anyway.
Here is an example: http://global.ebay.com/Nikon_AI_Lens_to_Pentax_PK_Mount_Adapter_K20D_K200D_K-M/350216263403/item
Also - pentax has never changed its lens mount so you can buy some pretty cheap old pentax lenses for your KX
Image stabilisation is NOT the be all and end all of cameras.
How did people manage to take photographs BEFORE IS came about?
You can use a tripod which is a lot cheaper and less drastic than buying another camera just because it has IS.
Failing that, sell the lenses and buy some good Pentax glass.
Why do you think you need stabilisation?
- I have a Nikon d100 and a Vivitar macro lense.can i use the lense on the SLR-body?
