Nikon: Autofocus with F lenses?

JOE
Will my old Nikkor F AF lens work on a digital SLR?

Jeroen Wijnands
If they are standard AF lenses they will work but…
The 1.5 crop factor that almost all bodies have limits the angle of view.
On low-end bodies such as the D40, D60, D3000, D3100, D5000 you will not have autofocus.
If you specify what you still have we can provide more accurate information

So long as the camera body has a focus motor built in (for G and AF-D lenses) so you need to go mid-high spec, such as the D90 or D300s
