How is the tamron af-70-300mm macro lens for nikon 5100/5200?

I have plans to go for either nikond 5200/5100. Does this lens support my camera? I can afford aroumd this much for lens.

The Tamron 70-300mm lens I have is very poor. Plus you will want a wider lens for general photography. The 18-55mm kit lens that comes with the camera will do you better.

Tamron makes lenses for Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Pentax. So you have to figure out which camera brand the lens is manufactured for.

I can't say, but I have the Tamron 18-250 mm for canon, and I like it a lot.
