Will Tamron - 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Lens fit on my Nikon D3100?

I'm planning to buy the Tamron 70-300mm macro lens. Will it fit on my Nikon d3100? I'm using the kit lens on my Nikon D3100.

Just be certain to specify the camera you have when you buy the lens.

If you buy the Nikon-mount version, it should fit. However, the 70-300mm/macro is reputed to be not so great as either a 70-300mm or as a macro. There's a higher quality, more expensive, non-macro Tamron 70-300mm.

Nikon uses the universal f mount, the only issue you will run into is older lenses that do not have their own auto-focus motor.
