Does a 52mm lens hood would fit on a Nikkor 55-200mm lens?
Does a 52mm lens hood would fit on a Nikkor 55-200mm lens?
Yes, both Nikon 55-200 lens models have 52mm filter threads.
But you may not be able to use your lens cap with the lens hood on.
Check out the Polaroid brand lens hoods. They are about the only thing they make these days that is any good. They have a pushbutton kind of attachment - sort of like how the lens cap attaches. This allows you to quickly attach and remove the lens hood without having to unscrew it.
I bought one, and I actually found that my lens cap would still work with the Polaroid lens hood. Filters would not work unless you put them on the lens first.
They are a bit more expensive than the cheapest ones, but still a lot less expensive than the Nikon replacements.
Just make sure you buy the one having the correct filter size.
