Is there a chart that will list all current Nikon and Canon DSLRs?

I'm on a hunt for my first DSLR. I have some photography experience so I want to settle for the best camera in my price range ($1500). A camera that I can learn with as I go, and add new lenses to it every now and then. I would like to have at least two lenses with it but I will compromise for only one if it means a better camera. I'm looking for something latest as well (2011-present).

I'm open to suggestions.

With your budget, I suggest you buy a camera like the Nikon D3200 with 18-55 mm lens ($700) and keep your saved pennies to later start buying a second and third lens, once you figure out which ones you need.

If you're going for the best, why only two manufacturers?

Pentax were making SLRs while those two were knocking off German rangefinders.

Sony will blow either out of the water for video.

Olympus are smaller and lighter.

Of course, if you steer away from the idiots' two, you might be mistaken for someone who can think for themselves.
