What current nikon Dslrs have an autofocus motor in the body?
I'm looking to upgrade from my D40 to something with an internal auto focus motor However i do not know which current nikon dslrs have an internal auto focus motor. I'm not to suave with Nikon's website.
Added (1). Thank you. Exactly what i needed to know.
A good step up from the D40 would be the Nikon D7000 I'd say. It has an internal auto focus motor as do all the pro bodies, D700, D800, D3s, D4 etc. Since you own a D40 I wouldn't say you'd want an entry level DSLR such as a D3100 so I'll avoid talking about them.
The only current Nikon models that don't have the in body focusing motor are the D3000 series (D3100, D3200, and the D5000 series (D5100). All other models do have that inbuilt motor.
The Nikon D7000 is the replacement for the D90. Both have a focusing motor in the camera body.
Although you can still find new D90s on the market you'd be better off with the D7000 since its the very latest technology.
B&H shows the D7000 w/18-105mm DX VR zoom lens for $1, 496.95 with free USA shipping.
