Is General Electric a good camera brand?

I'm thinking about buying a General Electric GE X5 for my photography.
I can't afford a Nikon, Canon, etc… But I don't know how those compare to General Electric.
Reviews would be helpful!
And/or pictures?

General Electric payed absolutely NO taxes in the US Last year. When you do business with them you export our money and we get nothing in return.

They are NOT a camera maker but market generic digital cameras under their logo.

They are excellent makers of home appliances and jet engines.

Look for cameras made by those listed on this website.

Do NOT buy a camera without an optical zoom lens and that uses SD or SDHC memory cards.

Not a bad camera at all. Smart buy.

There's not really such a thing as 'a bad brand'. You could have the biggest, brightest, most poweful camera in the world. And yet still take a bad photo. So it's not the camera really, it's the photographer.
