Would this lens be good for general videoing with Nikon D7000?

I own a Nikon D7000. I'm looking into buying the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G Autofocus Lens for portraits and also for video. Has anyone had any experience with videoing with this lens?

I recommend the 17-35mm or 24-70mm
if you want prime lens, go for the 35mm f/2.4 or 50mm f/1.4
