I have a 12.2 megapixel DSLR camera. Will I be able to print large pictures?
If so, what's the biggest size? I'm new to photography.
Of course
Since you did not mention how large you want to make them, we really can't answer that question easily.
I have had 17 x 36 inch panoramic prints made from a 12 mp sensored camera (a Nikon D300)
To do so, you will have to shoot at the highest resolution your camera will support and in RAW if you intend to do any retouching. To retouch images without introducing JPEG artifacts, you will need to process the RAW files and then export them as TIFF files for any additional retouching you want to do. Once you have completed the retouching, save the new image as a JPEG as a different file name to protect your original image files from being overwritten
One of my clients had a 24 x 36 inch poster made of his dragster coming off the line for his garage. BayPhoto made the print and he was very happy with it.
- How big of a picture can I print out at good quality with a 12.3 megapixel camera?
- How large of a photo could I print with a Nikon D50?
- Does the Nikon D3100 14.2-Megapixel Digital SLR camera have f-stops and shutter speeds?
- What is the maximum possible megapixel a camera can have?
- Would the paparazzi be able to get good quality pictures if they used cheap DSLR cameras?
