Does the Nikon D3100 14.2-Megapixel Digital SLR camera have f-stops and shutter speeds?
Hi I'm taking a high school photography class, I'm looking at cameras, within a certain price range. I have found this camera (link below) and I was wondering if this camera has f-stop's and shutter speeds
and if you had any side comments about this camera please let me know. I want to get the best camera for this price! Thank you!

My guess this and many of your other questions would be answered if you were to just visit a proper camera store and hold the camera in your hands and use its various controls
The D3100 is a very nice beginner DSLR as it has an in-camera tutorial to help you learn the functions.

First, don't buy from shops like Bestbuy and walmart. They aren't serious about photography, they have tons of other stuff there. Look at Amazon, Adorama, B&H, Calumet.
The point of DSLRs is to control shutter speed, aperture and ISO. F-stops are the differences between each setting.
Nikon D3100 is the best model out right now for the price!
