How to connect digital camera to tripod?
I'm having a little trouble connecting the two.
Here is the tripod:
Here is my camera
Well. Most cameras have a little screw whole underneath them to fit all standard tripods.
Your camera looks like a little point and click which aren't designed for proper photography so they don't bother putting tripod holes in the camera.
Your camera is kinda like that of a phone camera. Just designed to throw in a handbag to take a quick picture. Not for professional lining up, positioning etc. Tripods are useful for DSLRs due to shutter speed changing to allow more light and reduce movement blur whilst doing it.
Digitial Camera's don't have such features and therefore no need.
You can take great pictures with point and clicks if you know how to but, you won't find a tripod for it… You're best bet is to find a clamp that will hold your camera in place and screw onto the top of the tripod.
If you look on the bottom of your camera you will see a screw hole, usually right under the lens.
There will be a release on the tripod head which will allow you to remove the mounting plate. On the bottom of the mounting plate will be a thumb screw. Put the screw into the hole on the bottom of your camera and tighten it down. Once it is tight to the body, remount the plate back onto the tripod. It might take a few tries before you can get it to sit right into the head. But once it is on, it will not go anywhere.
Happy shooting.
If the camera body does not have a tripod socket on the bottom, you will have to get a cell phone clamp to attach it to the tripod. You can find them on Ebay all day long.search for "cell phone tripod mount".
Some small cameras DO NOT have a recessed hole that accepts the 1/4 inch by 20 thread of a standard tripod. Your picture does not show the cameras bottom side.
If you own this camera and there's no hole on the bottom then, put away the tripod until you buy a better camera that comes with the recessed threads that will enable the camera to attach to a tripod.
Yes it does. It's of course on the bottom. Looking at the camera, it's on the right side/bottom. Well my coolpix s3300 has one.
