How to make my youtube video upload faster?

I recorded the video with my Nikon P500 and edited it with Windows Movie Maker 2011. I saved it the recommended way so it saved in a format I could upload to youtube. It has been uploading for about half an hour and its 9% done. It says it has 412 minutes remaining. Is there anything i can do to make it upload faster?

Reduce the quality settings or increase the compression of the videos. Alternatively, purchase a better internet connection and stop others using your internet connection to play multiplayer games, use Skype or seed torrents.

You'd better try another professional video editing software.
