How to make my youtube video play in HD?
I made a video using an HD camera (Nikon Rebel), edited the video in Windows Movie Maker for Windows 7, and I added the 1080p in movie maker. Now when I upload it to youtube it doesn't have the option to play in 1080p or 720p! It only plays in 360p. So how can I make it so 1080p is availble to watch on my video?
The camera you film it in has to shoot 1080p and make sure the RAM on your computer is empty when you finalize or it won't be able to make it in 1080p. I don't know to much about pc and windows movie maker because I'm on a mac and i use iMovie so it uploads 1080p automatically.
This is a very easy, but important step. YouTube doesn't necessarily recognize the quality of the video, but rather the size of the video file you upload. For example, 1080p is exported as 1920x1080 and 720p is exported as 1280x720.
Make sure you are shooting in HD (which you are), then choose to export to either a 1920x1080 file size (1080p) or 1280x720 file size for 720p.
