How to make the video you upload on youtube HD?

So I filmed a video for my channel on my HD camera with 1080p but when I upload it on youtube it drops to 360p unless the person watching clicks the setting and changes it to 1080p. Is there a way to make the video quality 1080p without the watchers having to click on the setting with 1080p? Thank you so much! By the way my camera is the Nikon d5100

I don't believe you can choose the quality others watch it in, because some computers are really slow and won't load videos very quickly if the quality is too high. Letting the uploader choose the quality the video has to play in would really inconvenience lots of people with slow computers/internet. Maybe you should just post in the video description that it's best viewed in 1080p.
