Good Camera under 500 dollars Canadian?
What is a good interchangeable lens camera that is under 500 dollars Canadian? My basic requirements are HD video, Wi-Fi, good low light performance, Bulb, and fast burst speeds. (around 10 fps)
I was thinking of things like the Canon t5i, and the Nikon d3300
My previous camera was a sony a5000
if you can leave links for amazon or something, please make it Canadian
The Canon T5i camera cost more than $500 CAD.
The Nikon D3300 costs $400 USD with 18-55 mm lens
The Canon T5i costs $550 USD with 18-55 mm lens
You are going to have to do your own research on Amazon.ca.com for current prices.
But wait. You have a fine Sony A5000. Do you think changing camera brands will improve your photography?
A camera will not make you a better photographer, but it can hold you back or allow you freer reign. Do you have a good reason to expect the Nikon or Canon camera to produce better images?
Usually it takes many years of experience using a fully adjustable camera like your Sony or the Nikon and Canon cameras before you can really see any difference in camera performance based upon your highly developed skills using a camera.
I can see why you may want to buy a camera with an optical viewfinder so you do not have to hold your camera at arm's length to compose your shots and of course there's the issue of mirrorless cameras eating battery power like there's no tomorrow, but until you have honed your skills to where each time you press the shutter release, you are getting well exposed and composed images, you may have unrealistic expectations from a new camera.
If you have done ANY research at all, you should have discovered that cameras that can shoot at 10 fps cost about $2,000 USD without a lens. (Nikon D500) The Nikon D3300 and Canon T5i/700D shoot at 5 fps compared to the A500 at 3.5 fps, not a huge jump
HD video is easy. All current digital SLR cameras have not only HD video, but Full HD video
All digital SLR cameras have a bulb settings as does your Sony A5000
When it comes to the most important aspects of a cameras sensor, colour depth, dynamic range AND good performace at high ISO are all important
As you can see, your choice of a Canon T5i/700D will NOT improve over your current A5000
