Good beginner Nikon cameras?

So mi sister wants a Nikon camera that can take beautiful HD photos, but my main issue is, I don't know anything about Nikon cameras, so that being said, all I need is a good Nikon camera that can take HD photos and that's not that expensive> Thanks

The entry level Nikon D3300 can indeed take high resolution images.

HD only refers to video and uses only about 1 mp of the cameras total number of pixels on its sensor.

The D3200 has a senor that has a 24 mp sensor, so the resolution can be much higher than any video.

It is probably the best camera for your sister if she is willing to learn the fundamentals of photography under $450 with a lens

If you sister is not willing to spend the time learning how to use a fully adjustable camera, then probably a a nice Nikon "S" series bridge camera will do the job. They can cost under $300
