Going to France in 5 days, what should I do about cameras?
Any tips?
Also, I have a DSLR camera and a small nikon compact digital camera (s60). I have 3 memory cards (2 are 4GB, and one is 2GB). What should I do during the trip when I run out of memory?
Added (1). I have 2 batteries for my dslr, and one for my compact.yeah I might just go buy some before i leave or burn dvds. I'm going with a grouped so I might just bring my own dvds and borrow their laptop for a bit or something.
Just buy some cheap cards here. Comp usa is always putting them on sale
If you do run out of memory some internet cafes have the facility to burn your pictures to a DVD. Then you can wipe your cards and re-use them.
Use common sense in what you photograph as there can be restrictions, for instance you need permission in advance to photograph at Paris CDG airport.
I carry both my good camera and a small pocket sized camera with me when I go out exploring. If you're concerned about running out of memory, just buy another 4 GB (or bigger) card to carry with you. There are places where you can burn DVDs here in Europe or just transfer the photos to a USB memory stick at a public internet provider as well.
You're more likely to need a spare battery to swap out during the day. I've gone through more than one in a day sometimes - especially when I go to Keukenhof and take more than 1000 photos in a day.
