Broke my Lens within 30 days, can I return / exchange it?
So I had an unfortunate fall that caused the lens on my nikon camera to fly off. Just realized though that I'm still within the 30 day return policy. Does anyone know if I can return it in this condition? Has anyone tried this before?

You're joking? A warranty doesn't cover carelessness. Only defects in manufacture.
Contact the place-of-purchase and see what there policy is all about. Also contact the manufacturer of the camera. Sorry, but chances are they won't except your return since you caused the damage.
I'm sure if you can come up with a legitimate excuse…
If you read the not-so-fine print, the return policy most likely states that the camera needs to be returned with all cables, packaging, and in new condition. That's something you can't do, since you dropped it.
Just think of it this way, if you bought a new car and crashed it a few days later, could you bring it back? I seriously doubt it.
Your camera's fall is definitely "unfortunate", but not a reason for the store to replace it.
