When I try to charge my Nikon D200 batery it only blinks three times and goes off?
Need help please, need my camera but I can't charge it. Somehow when I try to charge it, it'll blink three times and goes off. Does anyone knows where the problem is and how to solve it? Is it in the batery or in my MH-18a quick charger?
I'm guessing that it's time for a new battery. The D200 is quite old so that battery is probably at the end of its life now.
Do you only have one battery?
The D200 is a high grade camera, but 8 years is a long time in digital camera years.
It might be the charger, maybe the battery. I would guess that the battery is more likely to go bad first. So if you don't have other people's equipment to experiment with, I think you need to buy a new Nikon EN-EL3e battery.
The D200 is an outdated camera. The battery can only be recharged so many times.
I'd guess your battery has passed it's limit.
I'd suggest that you only replace it with a Nikon battery. Cheaper batteries can damage your camera. They can leak, and even over-heat and swell. If it expands it will be stuck inside your camera.
When you have power problems, always suspect the battery first - until you rule it out. Batteries do not last forever, so they are consumable items. That you got 8 or more years out of your battery is pretty good.
Either the battery or the quick charger. Try replacing the battery first. IF that doesn't work, gt a new charger. If you are in a rush, get a new battery and charger at the same time.
