Download the D100 user manual from the Nikon website.

Attempting to depend upon strangers to explain how to use your camera can only lead to frustration.

There are three possible file types which you can save your image files to.

* RAW - Recommended if you want full control over the images you produce. You will need to use a program like Lightroom CC (the preferred) and/or Photoshop CC
* JPEG- Multiple options here: Fine, Normal and Basic. Within those options, you can also pick images sizes of Large, Medium, Small -- Look on pages 136 and 137

It is always best to save the largest image file size to produce the highest resolution, because we NEVER know which photos we take will end up on our walls. If you shoot in low resolution, you can never make prints larger than about 4x6 inches.

While you are at it, buy some additional CF cards for your camera so you are able to shoot at the cameras highest resolutions 4GB cards are good enough. Most of us have at least 4 memory cards with us at all times.
