Nikon d90, d5000, or d300s?
Can you guys help me choose a camera? Which one of these is better for it's price
Added (1). I have a 500 dollar price range!
You missed the D7000, which is the D90's replacement
for the price, the D7000 offers the most. The D400 is due soon to replace the D300s, which is last generation
Since you're obviously a beginner, you shouldn't even consider the D300s. The image quality is the same as of the D90 and D5000, but it's a lot more expensive. You'd pay for features that specifically cater to the needs of professional sports photographers and journalists, for whom every missed shot means lost money. For a beginner amateur it wouldn't ever be worth the price increase.
Out of these, the D90 offers the best price/performance. For just a little more money than the D5000 you get prosumer grade ergonomics and build quality (two dials instead of one and a top LCD), as well as an autofocus motor in the camera body. That one enables you to use older AF lenses, instead of the newer and more expensive AF-S ones, and you can save some money on these again.
The D3100, D5100 and D7000 all also are great cameras, and offer a newer sensor over the ones that you listed. The D3100 is very entry level though, feature starved. The D5100 gives the D5000 a run for its money, but it'd still prefer a D90 over a D5100 unless you care about video. The D7000 is overkill for your purposes, again you'd pay for features that you likely don't need, just as in case of the D300s.
