Nikon D2X no aperture settings?

I recently bought a used D2X and I have realized the dial to change aperture doesn't work.
On S (shutter speed priority) mode, the dial changes the shutter speed, as expected.
But on M (manual) mode, the upper dial is supposed to change shutter speed and the lower dial to aperture, but both dials only change shutter speed.
On A (aperture priority) mode, neither dial changes any setting. It's permanently set to Ff4.
Any help on solving this issue would be greatly appreciated!

From whom did you buy this camera?
I would return it.
Does the problem occur using all your lenses?

Are you sure the lens is one that can be controlled by the camera body?

Weird. I would take it to the dealer and ask.
Does your lens have an aperture ring or is it gelded with no aperture ring? That might be a factor.
