Will this lens fit well with my Nikon D3000?

I'm quite new to DSLR's, and I've had my Nikon for a few months now, but I'd like to get another lens that focuses more on close-ups/good zoom. I'm not looking for anything too expensive, and in Digital Photo magazine I saw this lens - http://www.sigma-imaging-uk.com/lenses/dclenses/18-200mm.htm

Would this fit with my camera? And still be in autofocus and everything, I probably wouldn't know what to do if it was manual to be honest! The lens I have right now is Nikon DX 18-55mm AF-S f3.5/5.6G VR

I think you should hav a look at nikon 55-200 mm

That looks like an older model, which will not autofocus with the D3000. A Sigma lens that would autofocus would have HSM (hyper sonic motor) in its name. It also lacks OS (optical stabilization--Sigma's equivalent of Nikon VR).
18-200mm lenses offer versatility in a single lens, but even the expensive Nikon 18-200mm AF-S VR II has some compromise in the optical quality, and the Sigmas much more so. I agree that adding a Nikon 55-200mm AF-S VR would give you better value.

Some have an AF motor built in. Those will AF. Lenses without motors are MF only.

Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm is a superb lens at a great price. I was unsure how it would work with my humble Nikon D40 but I'm delighted. The build quality is excellent (even better than my 55-200 Nikon as the base ring is metal, rather than plastic). I've only had it about 2 weeks but I have tried it in a number of situations and light conditions. Bearing in mind I'm a complete amateur I think the results are very good, partly, I think, due to the VR. The cat & church pictures above are posted to show the quality at different distances. Obviously makes my little light bodied D40 feel a bit 'front heavy' but its worth it for the quality it brings to distant shots.
