Will the Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens work on a Nikon D70?

I wanted to buy a Nikon D70 and I have the Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens and the Nikkor 55-200mm VR lens. Will these lenses work on the Nikon D70 without any problem? I also wanted to buy the Nikkor 70-300mm VR lens. Will that work with the D70? Please let me know.

The D70 can use just about any Nikon lens ever made, and certainly all of the autofocus (D, G, and AF-S) models. The lenses you list will work just fine.

All of the lenses you mentioned will work - compatibility problems arise when using non-motorised lenses on non-motorised bodies.
Canon always used lens motors, while Nikon, Olympus, Minolta/Sony and Pentax depended on body motors, only later motorising some lenses - Nikon removed the motors from their cheaper bodies as a cost-cutting measure, resulting in AF lenses (as opposed to AF-S) not permitting autofocus on cameras like the D40, D3000 and D5000 series.

Your D70 has maximum compatibiltiy with Nikon lenses. All of the lenses you mentioned will work. And since the D70 was an advanced camera, it also has an internal-focus motor, which will focus AF lenses.
