Will AF Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED auto focus with a Nikon D70?
Yes it will, The D70, D70s, D80, D90, D7000 will be able to use the AF.
Yes. I had a D70 that I gave to my son and it has the required focus motor built into the camera. It is absolutely a great lens for the price. You can't go wrong.
However, if you are looking at a used lens, I do recommend buying the twist-ring zoom version, which is the same as the currently manufactured version. The lens has been made in various versions for at least 10 years, and the older push-pull zoom versions had slower focus drive mechanics.
Even though the lens requires the camera to have a focus motor, the twist-ring zoom version has a much faster focusing mechanism. I think it has to do with the gearing in the lens.
Yes. It's a nikon AF lens on a nikon D70. Of course it will.
It's a lens that requires skill so perhaps you'd better look at a 55-200
