Which is the better camera?

Never mind the small price difference, which is the most lasting camera with the best image quality the Nikon d3200 or canon t2i? I would love either camera, but the canon t2i maybe soon discontinued because of the new canon t4i announcement. I want the latest technology not something discontinued. I would also love the 24MP Nikon, but a lot of people claim the images aren't truly better and that the low light performance is bad. I just want a good entry dslr with good video and great image performance. Which one is overall the better lasting camera?

The T2i has already been discontinued - the T3i replaced it. The D3200 outperforms the 2i and 3i. If you'll mainly be recording video, you should buy an actual camcorder. Any entry-level DSLR will last you at least 5 years if you take care of it.

Okay

Here is how the sensors of the Nikon D3200, Canon T2i and T3i compare

As you can see, there's not basis to these "peoples" claims.

You may want to re-think your idea of using a dSLR as a video camera

I'd go with the Nikon D3200. And it should last you far more than five years if you take care of it.

I recommend the t3i, you can see this site, http://t3ivst4i.com it don't have too much difference with t4i, but it has become more cheaper due to the new released t4i.
