When is the release date for the nikon D3100?

I want it! People said it was around end of august. But thats passed.
now people are saying the end of september?

I guess it depends on where you stay. Nikon issued the press release on 19 August. They may have not started rolling out the stocks to the retailers just yet.

Some larger stores like B&H and Amazon.com are taking pre-orders but there's no indication as to when you will get it.

Its already out but you may want to look into the Pentax K-x while you haven't been bitten by the bug yet.
