Nikon D5100 release date?

Does anyone know the release date for the Nikon D5100? I'm looking to buy DSLR camera and if the release date is soon on that one, I'd like to hold out as I've heard good things! Thanks!

I think nik 5100 is a rumor.

Go and buy the cheapest dSLR that you can from any brand, it'll do whatever you need it to do and is easily better than your capabilities as a photographer.

If you want video, go and buy the cheapest one with video, personally I wouldn't bother as a cheap HD recorder is far more portable for the actual amount of video you'd do for youtube or whatever.

A rumoured D5100 will be expensive and more than you actually need.

You can't buy a bad dSLR, just go and hold some for every brand and buy the one you like in your hands, it's THAT simple.

No release date has been announced yet, so one can't do anything but speculate.

There will always be a big new shiny camera just around the corner… A few months after the D5100 Canon may come along with a 600D or something like that. I think it's pointless to wait for that reason. All cameras currently on the market are fine and far outperform your skills as a photographer for years to come.
