Lots. The D90 is a low end Professional grade camera, the Rebel T2i Canon is a low end entry level camera. Nikon has none of the issues plaguing Canon right now either… Bad shutters… AF issues… Just to name a couple. The only thing beneficial with the Canon is the video is better.

Also check out a Pentax K-5 and K-7, as they kick both those cameras butts in features, cheaper price, better iq, every lens is image stabilized since the IS/VR is in the body, Canon and Nikon is in the lenses and you pay $100-$300 extra to get it in a consumer lens and between $500-$1000 for it in a good lens. Pentax you get it on every lens at no additional cost as well, even old manual focus lenses! With the K-5 you also get Industry class leading high iso low light imaging out of the entire APS-C sensor class of cameras, so does the Pentax K-r and K-x as well. The K-5 &7 also both have fully weather and dust sealed magnesium frame bodies. The 7 is even resistant to sub zero temps and will work fine down to like -10°, other brands and cameras can't do this.

Pentax also has superior color reproduction and white balance over Canon, about same color as Nikon, but still a bit better white balance but only under certain artificial lighting conditions. Pentax also has every single setting in camera totally manually tweakable by the user as well. Even offers all kind of raw image processing built into the camera allowing the user total flexibility. The 7 even allows user to color calibrate the lcd on the camera for total accuracy when viewing on camera and will match your color calibrated pc.

So do not rule them out, cheaper, more features, and better cameras.

A hell of a difference, the Nikon leaves the Canon standing.
