What photoshop would be good to use for the nikon d7000?
If you are looking for a professional software then Lightroom should fit your needs:

If you are instead an amateur photographer then Elements could be the right choice:
Do you need Photoshop? In the UK camera bodies come with a software disc that - in the case of Nikon - contains the latest of its editing software Nikon Capture / NX2. This is actually a very good software with the added bonus that Nikon guarantees that it will always be backwards compatible; this means that if you stick with Nikon software any future upgrades / replacements etc will still be able to access and edit your current images. I presume that this applies wherever Nikon cameras - even bodies only - are sold hence my question.
If you don't want to use the Nikon software you can use Photoshop BUT if you take your images in RAW format you may need an add-on to convert the Nikon NEF (Nikon Electronic Format) RAW image to a format acceptable to Photoshop for further editing and conversion to JPEG / TIFF format.
Use Lightroom 3 instead of Photoshop.
