What is the canon equivalent to the nikon d3000?

I'm looking for a canon camera that is as good as nikon's d3000. I do lots of work with slow shutter speeds and i want to be able to hold my shutter open for as long as possible. Bulb mode would be nice.

Every DSLR has a bulb setting. The closest canon would be the XSi.

Canon XS
Is there a specific reason you do not want to buy a Nikon? Do you already have a Canon EOS system?
The Nikon D3000 is an older camera. It was replaced by the D3100 a while ago

The Rebel XS.

50D or 60D
both are great cameras

None. They are all different from each other. It doesn't work that way. You can however compare them by price. Check it out at http://bhphotovideo.com/...ovideo.com. As for the Bulb setting, all dSLR's have it.

Canon EOS XS/1000D. And it even has Live View, which the D3000 lacks of, and live view is great for like night photography because you can focus quicker and easier (only if the subject is still, and focusing manually of course).
