Is $375 a good price for a NIkon D60 with 18-55mm VR - excellent condition?

Saw it craigslist and was wondering if the price is good for this type of camera?

I would say so, but the thing is that it is easy to lie on both ebay and craigslist. I suggest NOT buying it. Even though it says "excellent condition," you have no way of knowing what kind of abuse the camera has gone through, if it has touched water, if well, anything at all. Only buy used from reputable sources (bhphotovideo.com, adorama.com) or from a person that YOU KNOW takes good care of their things.

I would agree, run don't walk from this deal.

Used gear. I never buy it because you never know. How's it been treated? How has the lens been treated? Roughed or beaten up? Wet? Always stored in a case or bag? Dropped? Lots of questions that you can't answer - stay away.

I always buy new for obvious reasons.
