What do I need for simple Astro photography for DSLR?

Now, I want to start astro photography with my Nikon D40 and my telescope. I have searched and I found that I need a t ring and a t adapter. I went to ebay, and every single item I found was t mount ring adapter, so, is there a difference between those two (three?), and with pictures if possible: D

To mount a dSLR on a telescope, you need two things.
1) a T-mount adapter made specifically for your telescope. Mine uses a 25 mm T-mount adapter.
2) You will also need a Nikon T-mount adapter to connect the two together.
I got mine at my local telescope store.
