What are some good sites to sell nature / wild life photography for money?

I know of Fineartsamerica.com and Imagekind.com

I need income on sites that have more buyers then sellers something to make me 20 bucks a month or more a month if I can. If some months give me nothing I'll be fine with that. I just want to make some money.

I'm very new at photography and being a student with no job really hurts. I need to make money some how and would like my hobby to make my some money.

I have a Nikon D3000 with up to zoom 200 lens…

If you have any suggestions or websites to help me out it would be great thanks.

More links or information the better!

Take care, Tyler!

To be realistic you have very little chance of making much cash. You have entry level equipment and no experience.

However, Getty Images is the big one gettyimages.com and alamy.com (alamy might not accept images from the d3000 - they don't like consumer level equipment)

Plenty of other sites - the terms you are looking for are stock or microstock image libraries.

There are lots of micro stock sites… But don't expect to make any money…

1) the shots have to be EXCEPTIONAL
2) the shots have to be INTERESTING
3) the shots have to be MARKETABLE

if they aren't all three of the above, you ain't gonna make any money… Being "a very new photographer" usually means you are into "snapshots"… And those just aren't gonna get you anything… Try learning more about photography and improving your skills…

try selling them at local art shops or submit them to magazines…

I've been doing wildlife for quite some time now. It's a nice hobby but it's very, very difficult to make any money doing it. There's always someone with better lenses and more time on their hands to compete against.

Do yourself a favor. Look at your best shot. Say it's a squirrel. Google the images for "squirrel" (or whatever your subject is). If you get less than a million hits, I would be very surprised. Some of them will be of poor quality, others will be better than yours. Does that explain to you why you are unlikely to sell your wildlife pictures?

A shot that will make money will be an extraordinary shot of a rarely observed moment in the life of a wild animal, one that evokes an emotional response in the viewer. An example would be the famous shot of a giraffe kissing the top of the head of its baby.

Are your shots as good as the worst ones on these galleries http://photo.net/gallery/photocritique/filter?period=365&rank_by=avg&category=Nature&store_prefs_p=1&shown_tab=0&start_index=12&page=2

If not then forget about trying to sell anything until you reach the required standard.
