SLR lens blurry.how can i fix this?
I just purchased a brand new nikon d3100 SLR camera.already the lens is incredibly blurry. Is there any way to fix this?
Which position is the lens sitting on AF (Auto Focus) or MF (Manual Focus)?
Do you know what you're doing with a dslr? If there's something wrong inside the camera or in the lens and it's new, contact Nikon for warranty help.
If there's nothing wrong and you just don't know how to operate it, get some training.
If you just purchased it, I'd say there's a 99% chance that the problem is you, not the camera or lens.
Rachel, check the diopter correction dial you'll find on the side of the viewfinder. It's used to adjust the image for variations in the eyesight of users. But, if accidentally moved, it will make everything appear blurry. The proof would be perfectly focused pictures, when viewed in your computer, or reviewed in the camera lcd, but blurry through the viewfinder.
Also check to see if the lens autofocus switch is set to A and not M.
