Should I keep my Canon EOS 550D, or get the Nikon D7000?
Should I keep my Canon EOS 550D, or get the Nikon D7000?
I would stick with the canon just because it would be a huge pain to have to switch all your equipment over. They are both generally competitive enough so that you shouldn't need to switch systems.
What do you want?
If you are ready to move from Canon to Nikon, that would make some kind of sense, but you have to understand that switching camera systems is a very expensive thing to do, especially as your camera system starts to include four lenses or more
The sensor on the D7000 certainly out performs the one the 550D, even the 7D.
There's much more to deciding to make such a change, than just getting opinions
Stick to a canon and just don't get Nikon cause you can still use your current investment like lenses and flashes
If you don't have a big investment in glass, and accessories, make the jump. Sony image sensors (used in Nikon dSLRs) are pounding everyone. Canon is falling behind. They might be number one, but their image sensors are weak. Go for it.
