Reviews on Nikon D3100?

I'm still quite amateur at photography! I've been looking at this camera and have done some research - I think it will be good to begin with. Can anyone recommend another camera, or any negative comments about this camera?

Other cameras to consider would be the Canon T2i and Pentax K-r

if you can spend more money, you can also look at the Nikon D5100

It's a decent camera. One limitation to be aware of is that it only autofocuses with newer AF-S (or old professional AF-I) lenses, because it doesn't have an autofocus motor of its own.

It's a fine beginners camera. It's always easy to advice better and more expensive models but realistically you can do just fine with this
