Pros and Cons of the Nikon D3000?
Pros and Cons of the Nikon D3000?
Pros:
- cheap
- can take pretty good pictures for its price
- small
- light
- fairly durable
- itll probably be the only camera you need
cons:
- tiny viewfinder
- lack of built in AF motor
- no proper video
- no secondary dial
- no second settings screen on top
- no PC sync port
unless you plan to use it for video, with old Nikkor lenses, or shoot weddings, then this camera is more than fine for everybody. The one thing is that the D3100 is a big step up.
Pro
* it is a large leap from the D40
* it is affordable to many people just entering the arena where they take control of their images, picking the shutter speed, lens aperture and choice of lens
Con
* it has been replaced with a much better camera, the D3100.
You can't really ask for that, it's a personal preference. I like Nikon, someone doesn't and finds it a con. How is that helpful?
It's a DSLR, and if you will learn how to use it pictures can be good. But buying the camera alone won't make you a professional. I would rather get the Canon EOS XS, or even T3 if your budget goes a bit higher.
