Please critique my VERY first Newborn shoot

I was so excited to do this shoot for my cousin. Baby boy is 5 days old. All shot with Nikon D3000, 50mm 1.8 lens (manual). No flash, window light from angle. I'm learning manual mode, so some are taken in and out of M, Iso 200 in all.

Meh… Nice snaps for baby pics. Watermarks are awful distracting, though.

It seems as if you have found your niche! Congrats, their beautiful! I can't find a single thing wrong with them, except that maybe the watermark distracts from the picture (I understand perfectly well why its there, so don't worry.)
They're really sweet, and taken very well!

Technically they seem to be decent enough but they're just the usual, cliche, cutesy baby snaps just about every female photographer I know does.

I think you're doing well so far. A few hot spots here and there, and your post could use a bit of work but overall, it's good! They're not 'snaps,' that's for sure. I can tell you took the time to think about your light and exposure. Well done. Keep working at it.
