Best Nikon lens for low-light wildlife photography?

I'm going on a safari soon and need a good telephoto lens for my Nikon D3100. I was going to go with the basic 55-200mm, but the maximum aperture is only 4, and on the 55-300mm it's 4.5. The animals are out early in the morning and late at night, so the light won't be great. I've heard that for low-light wildlife photography you need at least an aperture of 2.8, but the 70-200mm f/2.8 VS and VSII are both really expensive. Do I really need the f/2.8? Also, will 200mm of zoom be enough?

How to use manual flash on a dslr?

I want to buy one of those flashes that hook to the top of a DSLR. (i have a nikon d3200)
I'm saving money and buying a cheap one that is manual only, no TTL. I've never used a flash before, not even the one built in the camera.

i want to know how you know what brightness to use on the flash, and what aperture, iso, and shutter speed to use to correctly expose a picture.

and I'm not doing studio portraits. I need more light for things like taking a picture at a birthday party or something. I'm going to be in situations where i can't take 5 photos and mess with the flash in-between and change settings with each shot. One, two photos, with hardly any time wasted is what i need, but i also need to expose correctly with a manual flash and i don't know how to do it.

the flash i want to buy is called "DBK DF-400 Flash Speed light". Its on Amazon.

so how do you know how to get correct exposure with this flash?

i tried googling it but all the tutorials on google and youtube are pretty bad. And i need things explained very simple.

How to get more photography clients? Details inside?

I've been doing photography for about 6 months. I know that's a short time and I know everyone and their dog thinks they are a pro photographer these days. However, I do get clients, just not very many and not very consistently. I get an occasional engagement shoot and I've booked two weddings and shot one so far. My facebook page is facebook.com/marqellealexanderphotography I've seen another girl ask this and get berated and I'm just here for constructive criticism. If you were looking for a photographer and came across me, what would make you pass me up. I charge 120 for family, friends, maternity, and newborn pictures.ni charge 80 just for single pictures. And I was charging 400 for weddings but had to stop doing weddings due to my work schedule. What jumps out at you negatively or positively? Btw I have a Canon Rebel XS that I haven't used yet. The photos on my site were with my nikon D50

What should I do if my camera is still not focusing properly after a service?

I got a Nikon d7000 for Christmas and noticed it wasn't focusing properly. It's all over the place. I use single point focus and put it right on the subject and it is not even close to sharp. I've reset the camera, sent it in to be looked at, tried adjustments on the lens (can't think of the term right now). I previously had a d5000 and never once had a problem. At what point will Nikon just give me another new camera? If they couldn't fix it the first time i don't feel that they will this time. It's very noticeable to me. Can anyone shed some light please?

Should I trade my Nikon d3100 for D50/70?

I got my Nikon D3100 a year ago. Not really thinking, or researching, it was kind of a rash decision.
Well, I've invested into a lot of AF lens. Being that the Nikon D3100 doesn't have the focusing motor built in, it's becoming a pain in the ***. I don't want to keep spending $300 per lens. I'm a college student, don't really have the money to keep blowing on the newer, more expensive lens right now.

I was wondering, should I keep my D3100 or trade it for a D70 or D50? Will that be a bad trade in your eyes? I do photography of course and I'm currently whipping together a home based studio.

What do you guys think?
