Tamron 17-50 f2.8 (non-vc) or nikkor 35mm 1.8g?

Happy holidays! I'm planning to buy a new lens for my nikon d3200 this coming year and couldn't decide between the tamron 17-50 f2.8 (non-vc) or nikkor 35mm 1.8g. I plan to use it mainly on everyday shooting and i've always wanted to try street photography.right now i'm quite on the side of the tamron because of the constant f2.8 & the flexibility of the mid-zoom. On the other hand, the 35mm 1.8g is sharp, fast, & smaller; but is a prime.

How to make my flash work in my Nikon D3100?

I was trying to take some pics in a darker room but the flash did not work in auto mode or any of the manual modes, unless the room was a bit brigther! Just the opposite! HOW DO I FIX THAT? I was just about the only one that had a problem everybody elses cameras were flashing away. I felt like a fool with my "better than yours camera" that did not performed well in dim Light, it did take the pics without flash but people had to be very still. I mean its a great camera that needs no flash to take great pics in dark areas but i needed the flash! Dammed it!

My external flash on my Nikon won't fire?

I'm using a Nikon D5000, and i just purchased a Zeikos SB-700 external flash. I read the manual and the only instructions it gave me were "when the Ready Light lights up, the flash is ready to fire. Pressing the Test Button will test fire the unit. 1) there's no test button. 2) why aren't there instructions on how to make the flash fire when shooting.
so anyway, how do I make the flash work, I feel really dumb, but I can't for the life of me make the flash work, is there a setting on my camera i need to adjust, is the flash broken, like a shorted wire or something that won't let it work?

First lens purchase for Nikon D5100?

I'm new to photography, and I was wondering what lens I should purchase first, considering that I already have the kit 18-55mm.

I want a relatively high quality, versatile lens that can be used in a variety of situations including travel photography. Preferably, I would like something with a longer focal length than my 18-55mm. I see myself mostly shooting landscape, wildlife, etc. Does not have to be Nikkor, and I'm willing to look at sigma, tamron, etc.

Price range is $250 or less (will definitely consider used lenses also).

What is an upgrade from Nikon D90?

I currently have a Nikon D90. I used to own a Canon Rebel xs, so the D90 was a good upgrade. Now I feel like I want a better camera. Also, should I consider going back to a Canon? Because lately I've been think I want a Canon. I was looking at the 5D Mark II. What is a good upgrade from a Nikon D90 for both Nikon & Canon?

Which to get Nikon J1 or J2?

I already own a Nikon D3200 which i love this would just be a (side) camera.

From target or best buy the J1 is only 399 and the j2 is 699 but the regular price for J1 is 599 and the J2 is 799 so i'm wondering if the minor differences between them is worth the 300 upgrade. And if neither which would you recommend to get must be the same type of camera though like a compact such as the J1

How to change the shutter speed on a nikon d5100?

When on sports mode, my camera used to take really cool action photos of people in mid air and things like that. I also liked it because it took lots of photos really quickly. Now for some reason all the photos i take on sports mode are really blurry and i can't figure out what i did wrong. All these pictures have been taken indoors so far. If the picture is focused on things close up, the shutter speed is really fast, but if it is taking a picture of something more than 5 feet away, the shutter speed is super slow. I have tried to figure this out by looking through the manual, but couldn't find any answers. Also, when i switch the view to on the screen, the shutter speed is super slow and is unfixable. Like instead of two clicks, there's only one click. Any help?

Is it possible to get an extra view screen that plugs into the side of a Nikon D3100?

I know with some cameras, the screen on the back flips out and around so you can see yourself if you are taking a photo/ filming a video of yourself. Is it possible to buy one that connects into my Nikon D3100? I would also really appreciate any links! Thanks <3

Added (1). At the moment I just use a mirror angled so that i can see what's on the monitor:3 haha its kind of annoying though, which is why i'm asking.
