Nikon or Canon, which is better?

Both Nikon and Canon have come a long way but as of 2011 right now today, which one produces better livelier images? I hear the new nikon d7000 is the best, better than canon 60d. Any suggestions?

Which one is better is based on opinion.
It is true that Nikon takes a more saturated image, and canon takes a "softer" image, by default.
The Nikon D7000 is better than the 60D, but you have to also look at the fact that it is $400 more.
go to a camera store and see for yourself which camera you like better. See which one fits best in your hand, is easiest for you to use, etc. Take a couple SD cards and take pictures with each camera, and look at the results you get. You may like canon, or you may like Nikon
