Nikon D5000 good buy?

I recently purchased a Nikon D5000 camera with a AF Nikkor 28-200mm ED lens, case, extra battery, lens hood, uv lens filter, 4GB memory card and cleaning cloth for $289. I also bought a AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm VR lens for $99.Is it a good buy and is it a good camera? Thanks
