Nikon d50 self timer remote

I know how to use the self timer on my camera, but does anyone know if I can buy a remote to take photos without having to press the shutter myself? Or if this camera can even support a remote at all?

Check the camera's manual then search for an intervalometer.

It takes the ML-3 remote. There's also cheap clones on ebay that work well. I've even had success with a universal remote program on an old ipaq (sanyo vcr codes). Only drawback is that you need to be somewhere in front of the camera with it, say anything within a 140 degree angle from the lens.
